a weekly series to learn a bit about the body + a subtle shift to start to apply the new knowledge

how often is myofascial release necessary?

think of fascial stuckness like dust settling in a room—it happens slowly, quietly, and in every corner you don't frequently visit.

if you only clean your home once a year, the buildup becomes much harder to remove and can eventually damage the surfaces underneath.

your fascia is constantly mapping your stillness + repetitive patterns, so consistent and varied movement acts like a daily dusting that prevents those layers from bonding together.

it’s not about how hard you scrub, but how often you wipe the surfaces to keep things feeling fresh. regular, intentional care ensures that dust never turns into filth that limits your freedom.

but sometimes the necessary movements are hard to do because our fascia has already collected + built up. this is where myofascial release comes in, like a house cleaner focused on the deep clean, so that you can then have an easier time maintaining.

it’s dependent on each person but a general recommendation is 4-8 weeks of weekly-ish sessions to get things shifted. then having more time in between maintenance sessions.

2 minute subtle shift...

for the next week leave a cup of water sitting on your counter where it won’t be touched. watch how the dust slowly but steadily collects. that’s what happening inside our bodies when we don’t vary our movements and fascia.

as you pour out the water in order to refresh your cup, that is what myofascial release is doing. it’s a deep reset that comes in clutch when things have been stagnant for a while.

see you next week, Brooke ✌🏻

if you wanna experience a deep reset I offer a discounted bundle option of a month’s worth of express fascia release

suburbanhippie.life a weekly series to learn a bit about the body + a subtle shift to start to apply the new knowledge diy consistent movement for your fascia the first thought I originally had when hearing the importance of being consistent with movement for the health of my fascia was “I workout 30 minutes a day, 4-5 days a week, I’m consistent, I’m good”. however the more I learn about fascia the more I’m starting to see consistency in a new light. I recently was introduced to some math...
